Chaga Chai:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-2 droppers of Chaga Triple Extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp cloves
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp star anise
  • 1 ½ tbsp black tea leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar (or maple syrup)

Chaga Chai:

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine the warming chair spices in a bowl and mix together. You can grind the larger ingredients in a coffee grinder but you don’t want them in the form of a fine powder. You can also use a pestle and mortar.
  2. Add the water to a saucepan over high heat.
  3. Add in the warming chai spices. It will likely make about two tablespoons. Bring the mixture to a boil and brew, stirring, for about eight to ten minutes. The tea will become very fragrant.
  4. Remove the tea from the heat and stir in the sugar. Do a taste test and add more sweetener of choice if needed.
  5. Once the tea has cooled some, strain through a tea strainer or sieve to remove the spices.
  6. Add 1-2 droppers of Chaga Triple Extract
  7. Pour your milk over the top of your tea and enjoy!
