Chaga Chai:
INGREDIENTS
- 1-2 droppers of Chaga Triple Extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp cloves
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp star anise
- 1 ½ tbsp black tea leaves
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tbsp sugar (or maple syrup)
Chaga Chai:
DIRECTIONS
- Combine the warming chair spices in a bowl and mix together. You can grind the larger ingredients in a coffee grinder but you don’t want them in the form of a fine powder. You can also use a pestle and mortar.
- Add the water to a saucepan over high heat.
- Add in the warming chai spices. It will likely make about two tablespoons. Bring the mixture to a boil and brew, stirring, for about eight to ten minutes. The tea will become very fragrant.
- Remove the tea from the heat and stir in the sugar. Do a taste test and add more sweetener of choice if needed.
- Once the tea has cooled some, strain through a tea strainer or sieve to remove the spices.
- Add 1-2 droppers of Chaga Triple Extract
- Pour your milk over the top of your tea and enjoy!
